STC’s latest software application has been written based around a powerful SQL database using a three tier design approach. This software provides the most advanced M&T, energy, financial and environmental reporting and graphical analysis software available for managing large property portfolios or large sites with multiple meter points.

The design allows us to provide customers with proprietary software to run on their own servers or to operate a hosted service via our servers and provide access to data and reports via our online systems. The online systems can be fully tailored and branded to meet the needs of each client. The hosted system eliminates the need for internal IT support and software licences.

Although the system has a pedigree, the latest Navigator version was designed primarily to maximise the benefits that can be gained from electronic billing and to eliminate the problems inherent in many suppliers' billing platforms. The system can collect and validate electronic invoices in a variety of formats including EDI, Internet Billing Messages and CSV.

Once data is captured, the system will translate the data into STC’s own comprehensive format to check and identify the quality of the data and prepare the data for reporting. The system can capture and record energy from various data streams including: invoices, on line self read meter readings, fuel deliveries, profile data from code 5 meters, smart-meters, energy management systems (BMS) or sub meters and data-loggers.
