The gradual unbundling of the components within the metering industry has caused third-party meter service providers to become more established in the market. Many Distributors have remained uncompetitive and their overall costs are generally far more expensive than the independent providers. 

Many organisations are currently paying far too much for existing Meter Operator Agreements in the over 100 kW market and STC provides a service to procure MOP agreements to significantly reduce these costs.
